This is the basic outline for the site/main navigation pages. I have to build it out with the left-side navigation. I have a few problems with padding by the pics and some link colors and spacing. I’d like to elaborate on the design eventually, I just wanted to get the structure working first. But, I did make the first mistake of not putting an underscore in my “final project folder” title. Oops, I’ll have to redo that!

I am having problems importing a png file into Dreamweaver, to link this file to the site. But here it is from FireWorks. Please comment. I feel like it is very generic and would like it to be a little different from my other comps and the original website.
I wanted the background to have an industrial feel. I would like it to fixed so when someone views it on a large monitor, it will be centered. Where the pic is (of the Monument), I would like to have a flash slide show to show different images from DC and the construction trades (workers in particular). All links will be rollovers.

I will be redesigning the website I do freelance for, Washington DC Building Trades. Right now I just manage the calendar and newsletters . I’m in the process of redesigning the print newsletter for them, so I would like to present a redesign for their website along with it (starting in the new year). They have mentioned before that they wanted the site redone, or not, they’re very casual about it; and they don’t know I’m taking this class. They want a new look and most of the content is out dated. The web address is http://dcbuildingtrades.com/.
